Thank you for posting this article. In recent years I've managed schedule my meals and food preparation so that I waste not a single bite of food (being a vegetarian helps, since meat spoils much faster unless frozen). I have a neighbor who tosses out garbage bags of wasted food every week (no exaggeration) and it breaks my heart, knowing that animals were needlessly slaughtered to create that food, and, that people in need could have eaten it, were circumstances different.
